As a pediatric nurse practitioner with 12 years of experience at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and a mother of two, I’ve witnessed firsthand the challenges and joys that come with welcoming a baby into your family.
I earned my BSN from the Medical College of Georgia in 2010 (Summa Cum Laude) and my MSN from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2016 (Summa Cum Laude), experiences that have deeply impacted both my professional practice and personal journey.
Like many new parents, my husband and I found the parenthood transition both transformative and humbling. At times, we were admittedly overwhelmed searching for answers despite my pediatric nursing background.
Honestly, like so many couples, we were naïve to the realities of caring for a newborn. It was through conversations with other parents that we came to realize feelings of isolation and uncertainty are far more common than many of us are willing to admit.
I have since had the pleasure of supporting new parents in my community during those delicate early days; troubleshooting, providing evidence-based guidance on newborn care, and offering reassurance during a time that is as vulnerable as it is sweet.
Over the past few years, it has been my strong ambition to build a platform that not only offers reliable information about newborn care and expectations, but also nurtures the emotional and spiritual growth of parents as they embark on this incredible journey.
So, I am honored that you’ve landed at Wholehearted Parenthood, and I’m excited to walk alongside you as you embark on this exciting phase of your parenthood journey.
